  1. This is really helpful information and knowing you personally, I totally trust you put your heart and soul into this! I’m excited to try this for 2019 – thank you!!

Also – there are excellent ways to incorporate YLEO’s into this regimen, one way especially is with Lemon and/or grapefruit and peppermint YLEO into the water for extra added detox, digestive support, appetite control and yummy flavor! Also we have a really awesome pea-based protein powder!

Oh and the leg warmers – they’ll never go out of style in my opinion. Just awesome! Being back the 80’s!!!

    1. Thank you Timnema– this is a very good point about Young living essential oils and how they can be utilized in the process of losing weight. It could save someone a great deal of money from buying fruits if they utilized the oils instead. love it.

  2. I am guilty of not eating breakfast in some days as I am afraid I might be late for work. This article covers all the necessary thing needed in order to achieve an ideal body weight. Thank you for sharing this comprehensive article.

    1. Thank you for your comment Sharon, take breakfast along. Two hard boiled eggs and a bag of cantaloupe should be sufficient. Planning the night before and putting everything in the fridge, ready to go the next morning will also help.

    1. Thank you Kathy! It really is not that hard to do, I just took the best of all the diet plans and researched the calorie deficiet process. Good luck and let me know if I can help

  3. Very well written Amber …! sharing your experiences and many phases of migraines over the years…. will help others though this process without feeling lost …

    1. Thank you Linda, yes I tried to make it factual and practical. It is quite a process, and living through it has helped me drive myself to do the research to try and understand the phases, and processes the migraine goes through to try and shorten the duration and try to find a way to alleviate them all together. Thank you for your comment.

    1. Thank you very much! We try really hard to keep our relationship successful for our daughter. She is the most important thing. I really think we are winning at this parenting thing. =)

  4. This article makes a good point. There are a lot of choices out there. Make the choice that is right for you. I was a working mom. I was able to bring my kids along with me a good part of the time. Be happy, not unhappy or guilty. Your children benefit from a happy mom who is present and attentive. Thank you for sharing.

  5. Great article. There are many choices out there. Make the one that is good for you. A happy and attentive mom is good for children. Thanks for sharing.

    1. Yes attention is key. Even if we have to work alot being present when we are in their space is very important, they need to know we work for them, and we are doing what we can to be a good mom at the same time. It is hard.

  6. As a working mom of now grown kids, I completely understand the mom guilt. It’s so hard not to compare and wish we did thinks differently. It’s very helpful to remember we did the best we could and are not alone with the feelings.

    1. I agree, I wish I had spent more time just chilling out with Olivia instead of worrying if the house was clean. I could have more memories to live on now. We did the best we could, this parenting thing does not come with a manual. We are good mommies and we loved hard, and took good care of them. Thank you Kelly Lynne

  7. Even though I was so ready to go back to work and have real adult conversations a few months after my first born’s birth, I quickly began feeling guilty when she started preferring my mother in law (her caretaker when I worked) over me. I had to learn how to let that go, and just focus on really being present when I was with her. I just wish more companies did what they could to support working moms – like letting them work remotely, even if only for a day or two a week.

    1. Sam, they will never truly prefer someone over their mommy.. it is just what they are use to at the moment. Chin up, you are right be present when you are there. Love between a child and her mommy is never far. Take care and hug her super tight.

  8. The hot and cold tip is one I haven’t seen- will try that next time (although obviously I hope that won’t be for a long time :P) Thanks!

    1. Yes, I know the feeling of hoping they do not stick around. I was dealing with one just today that kept me home from work. Just stayed in bed with the cold packs this time though.

  9. I can feel your passion through the writings in this blog! You’re amazing and have accomplished so much already. So happy to know you!!!! XO

  10. this is so inspiring. every dream is worth chasing especially if you dream about it long enough! 🙂 I love how you write, the content and the energy. Thanks for sharing! 🙂

    1. Erica, he is amazing start out with “you gotta be hunnnngaaarrryy” He’s amazing. I write about others in my other post on how to do this as a newly single mom but I love Les.

    1. Thank you Laura, I really appreciate your encouraging comment. Yes, start this minute! We have all the information we need in the whole world at our fingertips… start researhing now. =)

  11. Great post. Encouraging our children to follow their dreams is one thing, but it’s even better if we follow our dreams ourselves and lead by example. I think too many of us settle. Maybe we settle with a horrible job because it pays the bills. Maybe we settle for a bad relationship because we think it’s better than being alone. The list of what people settle for goes on and on, but if that’s what we are showing to our kids, they will be more likely to settle too. It’s important to show them happiness and being fulfilled. Thank you for sharing.

    1. I have to agree Therose, settling is no way to run through life. We have far too many great days that we waste not fullfilling our own dreams. Thank you for the comment.

  12. This is a really great in depth article! I have recently been getting what I believe to be migraines and I believe they are the result of a combination of not enough water, screen time, and weather changes. Thanks for a great post!

    1. You are very welcome. It may be time to see the Doctor so they can chck your eyes as well since you mentioned screen time. Try essential oils… the link is the post. They have been a life saver for me. Thank you for your comment Lindsey.

  13. I fortunately don’t get migraines very often, but I do get them. They SUCK. Peppermint and Lavender Essential oil are my lifesavers, and sometimes, if I get in my system quickly enough, passionflower takes the edge off (it also works for panic attacks).

  14. Love this post. I this self manifestation of dreams is so incredibly powerful. I think everyone needs to learn to find the courage to take a leap of faith. Great post! Thanks for sharing!

  15. This is a wonderfully informative post! I get migraines a few times a year and I can attest to their horror. I really enjoyed your post, I’ll definitely be pinning it for later so the next time I get a migraine I can read through it again. Thanks!

  16. This is all so interesting, yet scary. I am grateful that I rarely even have headaches, and am now grateful that I have never experienced a migraine. Some of my family, however, do, and I never realized how intense the experience actually is. Thank you for the eye opener!

  17. I have more experience than I’d like with migraines. This is all wonderful advice. I only thing that ever truly works for me is best and sleep. Even medications just seem to postpone the attack. I would never wish this addiction on even my worst enemy. Thank you for sharing your experience! I wish this page existed when I was young and they began!

  18. I needed to read this. Absolutely. I’m struggling, inside. No one may ever know it looking at me but I’m fighting a battle every. single. day. I’m not sure this is the right decision but I know I didn’t want to continue on the way my marriage was.

The beautiful little girl we have is my whole heart, as you already know since you have one yourself. I did run away. I did run to my parents. I don’t know if I’ll ever be able to move out but I know one thing…I have a pretty fabulous support system.

This made me feel a little better, so thank you.

    1. Sorry hit send… I wish I had come home. But we made it, and you will too! Remember your little girl will grow into an amazing women. She will be strong just like her mommy. Much love! Let me know if I can help in anyway.

  19. Thanks, Amber. I see that I can! I will! Thanks for always being someone I could look up to!

  20. I love all of these tips! I know exactly what it’s like being surrounded by negative nellys and they really can warp your positive outlook. But I have a friend who is so positive. Whatever she wants she decides she’s going to go out and get it. I’m jealous because she never lets negativity get to her and she follows almost all ten of your tips. Thanks for sharing!

  21. Great advice included here! Life truly is about the small things. The older I get, the more I realize it. Glad you have found what makes you happy and fulfilled.

    1. Thank you Amanda. They always say what could we go back and tell our younger selves. Lol. I would tell the younger Amber alot. But life is about growth and change.

  22. These are all great tips. It’s proof that we never know what will really make us happy until we try something different like you did with the farm. I tend to focus on a lot of the negative stuff because it always seems to be right there, but I am trying to have a more positive outlook. Sometimes change comes so slow and visualizing that positive future is hard. It also starts somewhere though. Thanks for sharing.

    1. It is difficult sometimes when there is do much negativity around us to find the positive. Focus on how good it is to laugh, and be sad when you need to be. Just flow to the positive.

  23. I absolutely LOVE the bottle!!! It’s much easier on my grib and hands than the of other bottles I’ve been using for 2+ years. Way to go Savvy Mom!!! Also I love the smell of the Thieves Househould Cleaner!! To me it smells like Fall with subtle hints of Lemon, Clove, Cinnamon, Eucalyptus & Rosemary ♥️ And I’ve been using it for 2+ years and no longer use ANY other cleaner because I don’t need to now! Also our immune systems have been strengthened and supported wjth thieves clewner NOT compromised by toxic household cleaners. And yes, even some the supposedly “green” cleaners are not good for our body systems!

    1. Jeanne,
Thank you for your purchase. I also love the length of the handle. I love my thieves also. What a great find! I agree the chemicals are out of our house as well. The kids even mentioned yesterday the house feels really clean. Well…. I cleaned all day Sunday with thieves.

Can’t wait for others to learn all the benefits of thieves.

  24. Great post. All of my kids have gone through picky phases. I have always asked them to take one “polite note” since I made is for them and they’ve always done that willingly. Forcing them to eat whatever I made has never worked for us. If they at least try what I made they can have cereal or a PBJ instead, but I won’t make them a desperate meal.

  25. Review for Clear Glass Spray Bottles 16oz. I have really enjoyed using my bottle with the thieves cleaner. I like the spray handle it is very easy to use.

    1. Awwwww thank you Jenny. I am so happy you are loving the bottle. Thieves is an amazing cleaner. I use it on everything. Let me know if you want more I will eventually be selling the full bottles on the site. 🙂
